A Safran in San Diego – San Diego, CA

To say I have a large family is perhaps a bit of an understatement. There is  Gramma, ten aunts & uncles, seventeen cousins, four cousin-in-laws and three babies… on my mom’s side.   If you can’t relate, don’t worry…  I think there’s a few close to us still trying to figure the clan out.  Simply, we’re one huge, extended, close family of highly energetic, over achievers (please correct me if I’m wrong.)

Gram’s pixie dust has worked it’s magic in keeping us close over the years, regardless of how sprawled out we’ve become.  In this spirit I was so excited to have my cousin, Jill, in-town this weekend to catch-up in-person on all the family gossip 🙂  Lots of talking, lots of eating and I think Jill saw every San Diego beachtown at one point or another.A few pics from this weekend:

Mexican beachside! Our favorite.

And since I’m reversing back…  It’s seems as appropriate a time as any to upload one or two pics from the last Safran family wedding in Arizona back in March.   Cori got hitched and Gramma could be found  showing off her moves on the dance floor (I just wish I had the video to share!)

Sisters, Sisters, there were never such devoted sisters…

So there you have it…  a brief recap on the weekend and a micro-intro to the Safran clan.   I sure am lucky.

  1. Katie….I usually do not get on the computer in the morning, but I am waiting for Sandy to pick me up to go shopping. Got your Email and I wiped away a few tears. We are a very lucky family. Everyone would help the others in any way possible without interferring in their private lives. Maybe that is why we can stay close. Don’t forget, Gramps is up there leading us on. Thanks….you made my day.

  2. I always love reading your blog and seeing the pics, Katie. I have to say this one is on the top of my list of favorite posts!! I have also reread Grandma’s comment a few times, too!
